Counseling

Full Life Counseling services for those affected by their own substance use occur primarily during pre-treatment and aftercare. Full Life Counseling does not provide acute substance abuse treatment. If the assessment or Safe Use Check-Up recommendations include treatment, we help individuals and families explore treatment options and are available after discharge from treatment to provide Recovery Management services.

Services for family members is available through the process. Education and counseling groups are available to family members and those in early- and mid-stage recovery.

Counseling includes services for:

  • adults who are concerned about the use of alcohol or other drugs of someone they love. Such individuals are also encouraged to consider participating in the "Detaching with Love" group
  • couples who are working together to support abstinence by the chemically dependent person and the establishment of a new life in recovery
  • adults in mid-stage recovery from addiction who are ready to explore and resolve old issues such as family of origin conflicts, sexual trauma history, co-dependency or mental health issues.
  • adults and adolescents needing counseling and educational groups such as:
    • Parenting in Recovery
    • Detaching with Love
    • Sober Coaching for Parents of Teens in Recovery
    • Marriage and Relationships in Recovery
Choosing to get counseling is not an admission of defeat but rather a gift to yourself ~ a gift of support, information and encouragement instead of continuing to suffer alone. Call Full Life Counseling today.

Each one of us is unique. The complexity of the individual fingerprint is the perfect reminder of our individuality. Even the response to alcohol, medications or drugs can be different from person to person and can change over time. Like a glass of wine, a simple joy for one is like poison for another.
